Department: ID110_72501 Human Resources Expected Weekly Hours: 40 Shift: Day Shift Position Purpose: As a strategic partner, the Human Resources Director aligns business objectives with employees and management in designated business units. Serves as a consultant to management on Human Resource related issues. Acts as employee champion and change agent. Assesses and anticipates HR:related needs. Communicating needs proactively with our HR department and business management, the HR Director seeks to develop integrated solutions. Formulates partnerships across the HR function to deliver value added service to management and employees that reflect the business objectives of the organization. Maintains an effective level of business literacy about the business units financial position, its mid:range plans, its culture and its competition. The HR Director position will be over the Nampa Hospital (80 of the role) Ontario and Baker City Hospital together (20 of the role). Job Description Details: SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: + Bachelors Degree in Human Resources or related field required. Masters degree in Human Resources or MBA preferred. + Minimum of 7 years of the resolution of complex employee relation issues. Professional in Human Resources (PHR) or Senior + Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) certification desirable. + Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines including compensation practices, organizational diagnosis, employee and union relations, diversity, performance management, federal and state respective employment laws. + Excellent consulting and coaching skills; strong management skills and business literacy skills. + Strong conflict management skills; strong interpersonal and negotiation skills. + Excellent written and verbal skills. + Strong ability to develop strong trusting relationships in order to gain support and achieve results. + Effectively envision, develop, and implement new strategies to address competitive, complex business issues. Effectively manage conflicting priorities in a high volume work environment. + Demonstrated ability to efficiently organize work and maintain a high level of accuracy. + Advanced computer skills with an emphasis on MS Office applications. Knowledge of PeopleSoft very useful. + Able to be flexible and available to interact with employees at all levels. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: + Meets Health Systems Guiding Behaviors and Caring Standards including interpersonal communication and professional conduct expectations. + Manages HR Business Partners who oversee assigned client groups / departments. + Consults with line management providing HR guidance when appropriate. + Analyzes trends and metrics in partnership with HR group to develop solutions, programs and policies. + Manages and resolves complex employee relations issues. Conducts effective, thorough and objective investigations. + Maintains in:depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day:to:day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance. Partners with legal department as needed/required. + Provides day to day performance management guidance to line management (coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions). + Works closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, increase productivity and retention. + Provides HR Policy guidance and interpretation. + Develops contract terms for new hires, promotions, transfers. + Provides guidance and input on business unit restructures, workforce planning, succession planning. + Identifies training needs for business units and individual executive coaching needs. + Participates in evaluation and monitoring of success of training programs. Follows:up to ensure training objectives are met. + Administers various human resources plans and procedures for all hospital personnel; assists in development and implementation of personnel policies and procedures.
