Idaho Equine Hospital

Idaho Equine Hospital is seeking a veterinary technician to join our surgery/sports medicine team. Duties will include: anesthesia, surgical preparation, regenerative medicine (stem cells, PRP, IRAP), imaging (digital radiography, ultrasound, scintigraphy and high field MRI), monitoring/treatment of hospitalized cases and assistance with lameness exams. Emergency anesthesia coverage is shared with a team of anesthesia/surgery technicians. Successful applicants should possess an enthusiasm for learning new skills, good horse handling skills and work well with other team members. Training will be provided in all areas including anesthesia. Certification as a veterinary technician is preferred but not mandatory. Idaho Equine Hospital is located near Boise in southwestern Idaho. It has an excellent quality of life including many opportunities for outdoor recreation. The practice serves as a full service referral facility for a large portion of the northwest. The caseload consists of Western and English performance horses as well as a large cross section of other disciplines/breeds.
