As part of the sales team, you will work with the Micron Business Units, Distributors from Executive management and the field sales team. In this role, you will develop a communications network that will provide essential information to increase sales through distribution. As well as, drive demand creation programs for Micron products and technologies for SSD and DRAM.The National Distribution Sales Manager is responsible for driving the business results by managing the overall activities of the department including the directing, advising, and managing of direct and indirect team members to ensure strong team member and team performance.
This position is to be based in the Meridian Idaho office.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
:Own all of sales and marketing plans and activities with the commercial distributors in North America. Including goal setting, performance management, implementation and execution of distribution programs and initiatives.
:Own the distributor account plan and communicate Microns strategies and roadmap. Develop a clear understanding of Microns business practices including pricing, forecasting, terms and conditions, distribution and code of ethics.
:Lead and coach the Micron commercial distribution team.
:Develop an in:depth knowledge of the assigned markets, drive a high level of engagement and focus with distributors to discover and win new memory opportunities.
:Focus on field resource engagement and deployment through arranging business reviews and customer actions follow:up.
:Direct sales forecasting activities and set performance goals accordingly.
:Reviews market analyses to determine customer needs, price schedules, and discount rates.
:Directs channel development and coordinates sales activity by establishing sales territories, quotas, and margin goals.
:Delivers sales presentations to key customers in conjunction with the efforts of Distribution account managers.
:5+ years of sales and/or marketing experience in a managerial role
:5+ years of sales and/or marketing experience in electronics industry
:Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
:Strong team player with a high degree of flexibility
:Ability to turn data into action and generate results using time management and prioritization skills.
:Good understanding of customer/application needs relative to market trends, competition, pricing and supply requirements. Fully aware of the needs and trends in the related marketplace and capable in driving differential sales strategies and execution
:Fundamental market knowledge and channel programs experience.
:Good understanding of distribution and distributor business model.
:Strong sales skills and customer orientation.
:Financial and business acumen.
:Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
:Experience successfully managing demand creation, customer intimacy and people management.
:High motivation and competitive drive to succeed in challenging and rapidly changing environments
:Ability to successfully work with remote teams, customers and partners.
:Ability to work across multiple functional groups within company: sales, finance, logistics, sourcing, purchasing, marketing.
:Marketing expertise, measured by successful implementation of go:to:market campaigns and activities for North American distributors.
:Ability to prioritize opportunities with the best return on investment
:Ability and willingness to travel up to 50 of the year through North America
:Excellent English skills, both oral and written.
