RESPONSIBILITIES:
⦁ On horse back ride pens daily identifying sickness and injuries
⦁ Accurately record all sick cattle
⦁ Move cattle safely from pen to pen as directed
⦁ Sort fat cattle as needed and directed
⦁ Assist in loading and unloading cattle trucks
⦁ Furnish your own tack, no more than two horses
⦁ Feed & care for those horses
⦁ Assist in processing cattle as directed
⦁ Assist in doctoring cattle as required
⦁ Clean water tanks as needed
⦁ Maintain yard, barn, tackroom, and housekeeping standards
⦁ Handle cattle safely and in accordance with BQA standards
⦁ Identify strays and put them in their correct pen
⦁ Assist with yard maintenance
⦁ Notify appropriate personnel regarding dead cattle
⦁ Notify appropriate personnel regarding repairs or maintenance needed
⦁ And other task and duties required by supervisor

Prior to employment potential employees must pass a pre-employment drug screen.

This position requires employees to reach, jump, kneel, balance, walk, stand, pull, push, and occasionally lift over 100 pounds. Employees in this position are exposed to all weather conditions, air borne particles, and various mechanical noises.
